This is a motorcycle plate from the United Nations Mission in Haiti (MANUH=Mission d'Appui des Nations Unies en Haiti / UNSMIH = UN Support Mission in Haiti) This mission was in charge from June 1996 to July 1997. Also the following missions UNTMIH = UN Transition Mission in Haiti (August - November 1997) and MIPONUH = UN Civilian Police Mission in Haiti since December 1997 used these kind of plates.  During the time from September 1993 to June 1996 the code MINUHA was in use at the UN mission. In the next future the UN in Haiti plans to switch to the code UN-xxx, because they do not want to change the plate every time when the name of the mission changes.
